Create many first versions, the good ideas will grow into more mature projects

This is similar to Knowledge work contains building blocks that can be used in multiple projects, because that first presentation can later be the source of documentation and so on. By having all of these smaller pieces you can explore many different things and continue working on the promising ones.
It’s better to be promiscuously curious — to pull a little bit on a lot of threads, and see what happens. Big things start small. The initial versions of big things were often just experiments, or side projects, or talks, which then grew into something bigger. So start lots of small things. (View Highlight)
