Inferential models §

A type of statistical model with the goal of producing a decision for a research question or exploring a specific hypothesis.

• Starts with a predefined hypothesis or idea about a population
• Produces a statistical conclusion (hypothesis testing, interval estimate)
• The most common type of models used in my line of research
